Michael C. Hall stars as a forensics expert who moonlights as a serial killer in the series Dexter. He announced in January he had Hodgkin's lymphoma. (Astral Media/TMN) The wife of Dexter star Michael C. Hall confirms her husband is now "fully recovered" from cancer and is back at work.
"I'm really lucky," Jennifer Carpenter told HollywoodLife.com this week. "Michael is [doing] great. He's really great."
Carpenter also stars in the series — about a serial killer who murders other killers while working as a blood spatter expert for the police — as Dexter's sister.
Hall, who took home both a Screen Actors Guild Award and a Golden Globe Award this year for his portrayal, announced in January he was undergoing treatment for Hodgkin's lymphoma, a cancer that attacks the lymph nodes.
The 38-year-old actor appeared at the awards shows with a black knit cap on his head.
"I've been so impressed," said Carpenter.
"He's been so strong and even about it all. He never got down about it or himself. He's like, 'OK, this is on my plate. I'll take care of it.'"
Hall has been busy filming the comedy film, East Fifth Bliss, with Lucy Liu.
He's returning in June for a fifth season of Dexter.
